T Scott Zach, CLU®Managing Partner Our Managing Partner, Scott Zach, has developed The Zach Group to consist of professionals who embrace the values of professionalism, integrity, loyalty, excellence, and fun. We are committed to a client-centered approach that considers the needs of the client as paramount in the solution process. The Zach Group's Financial Representatives and Network Specialists are dedicated to the financial success of our clients. A native of Cedar Rapids, IA, Scott is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in Marketing. Upon graduating from Iowa, Scott worked with Campus Crusade for Christ at Ohio State University. After his two-year commitment to Campus Crusade, Scott became the President of Practitioners Purchasing Group in Columbus, OH. He served in this capacity for three years. In 1994, Scott moved home to Cedar Rapids and entered the financial services industry when he joined the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. Scott was appointed Managing Partner of The Zach Group in January 2000. Previous to his appointment, Scott held the positions of Financial Representative and Field Director. He is involved with Downtown Rotary, Cedar Rapids Country Club, New Covenant Bible Church and various industry groups. Scott and his wife, Atiya, have four children and reside in Cedar Rapids.
 Mark J Funk, CLU®, ChFC®Managing Director Mark Funk has been with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since 1999 when he joined as an intern while attending the University of Northern Iowa. In June of 2000, Mark signed his full-time contract to pursue a career in financial services. He has quickly built a successful and well-rounded practice for his insurance and investment clients. Achievements throughout the industry include membership in the Million Dollar Round Table, the National Quality Award, and the National Sales Achievement Award. Mark was named New Financial Representative of the Year for The Zach Group in 2001 and 2004 and was also voted the top 20 business leaders under the age of 40 in 2005 by Cedar Valley Business Magazine. Mark is actively involved in the Blackhawk County Estate Planning Council, Panther Scholarship Club, Sunnyside Country Club, Cedar Valley HYP, Business Breakfast Connection, NAIFA Cedar Valley, and the Greater Cedar Valley Chamber of Commerce. Mark resides with his wife Traci and children Madison, Garrett and Jenna.  Robert J ReinertManaging Director Rob has been with Northwestern Mutual for over 6 years and currently resides with his wife Lisa, son Nick and daughter Aubrey in Dubuque, IA.. Rob is involved in the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce and Young Professional of Dubuque; Board Member and VP Optimist Club; NE Iowa Boy Scouts (Asst. Scoutmaster); NAIFA Dubuque, Board Member; and Knights of Columbus.
Rob Reinert specializes in solutions for both individuals and businesses. The relationship that Rob establishes with his clients enables him to provide the guidance needed for them to make informed choices. Rob provides the financial solutions on which his clients rely when making some of the most important decisions of their lives. Words that Rob lives by "Always leave someone better than you found them."  Lunch SmithManaging Director Lunch Smith has worked with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network for 7 years. Lunch is a Luther College graduate and currently resides in Decorah with his wife Kathy and their 3 kids Tyler, Casey and Lindsay. Lunch is involved with Chamber Ambassadors, Decorah Viking Athletic Booster Club, and NAIFA.  Jeffrey BeanRecruiting Field Director Jeff Bean has been a Financial Representative with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since 1999. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Iowa and resides in Cedar Rapids with his wife, Kathleen, and their children. Working in the personal, business, and estate markets, Jeff excels in helping individuals and businesses evaluate their needs. Jeff is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table in 2004 and 2005. Jeff was awarded the New Financial Representative award for The Zach Group.
 Christopher Graw, CLU®Disability Income Specialist Chris has been with Northwestern Mutual for over 7 years. He resides in Cedar Rapids with his wife Kiley and daughters Haley and Ava. Chris received a finance degree from the University of Iowa in 2003 and the CLU designation from the American College in 2009.
Chris enjoys building relationships with his clients and helping them achieve their goals and dreams. Chris is actively involved in church, enjoys sports, and spending time with family and friends.  Kelly PestkaDirector of Network Office Supervision Kelly Pestka has been the Director of Network Office Supervision for six years. Kelly is a graduate of Iowa State University and resides in Robins, IA with her husband, Luke, and their daughter Madeline.  Charity TylerDirector of Network Office Development
Charity Tyler has been Director of Network Office Development with The Zach Group since 2005. A native of Oklahoma City, OK, Charity is a Coe College graduate and resides in Cedar Rapids with her husband Chris and their pets Bob, Joey and Alex. Charity is an active member of the Cedar Rapids community serving in leadership roles with the Grant Wood Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, Junior League of Cedar Rapids, Titan Tire Challenge and as a member of ImpactCR, formerly Access Iowa.
